Dua Lipa is an English artist/singer who was born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd, 1995. The self-titled debut album was released in 2017, after she joined Warner Bros Records. It reached the top 3 spot in the U.K. Charts, and also released eight singles. They included Be the One I.D.G.A.F The U.K. number one Single New Rules as well as the U.K. No. #1 track New Rules. Lipa won the Brit Awards in the year 2018 for British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act and her album has been certified as platinum across the globe in a variety of countries. Dua Lipa was born London on 22 August 1995. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Her parents are of Bosnian descent by her mother's grandmother. Additionally, her ancestors are from the Kosovo town Peja. The grandparents of Lipa's grandfathers were both history professors. She is a sister to Rina Lipa and an older brother called Gjin. Lipa was heavily influenced by her father who also serves as the lead musician and vocalist for Oda. Kosovan group Oda. Her musical influences were derived from her father's music which featured his original compositions, as well as songs like David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began singing at age five. The Sylvia Young Theater School was where she started singing as she was nine years old. Lipa performed If I Ain't gone You with Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. Lipa has signed Warner Bros. Records a contract in the year 2014. New Love was her debut single.
