Dua Lipa was born London on 22 August 1995. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Her parents are of Bosnian descent by her mother's grandmother. Additionally, her ancestors are from the Kosovo town Peja. The grandparents of Lipa's grandfathers were both history professors. She is a sister to Rina Lipa and an older brother called Gjin. Lipa was heavily influenced by her father who also serves as the lead musician and vocalist for Oda. Kosovan group Oda.
