Alison Krauss has been a country singer for over 30 years. Her birthplace was in Decatur, Illinois on the 23rd of July, 1971. LeAnne Kymes is also one of the two the youngest Grammy Award recipients. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23rd, 1971) is an American bluegrass-country singer and musician. Her career began in the music industry as a child, when she was a mere 10 years old. Signed with Rounder Records, her first album debuted in 1987. The group she joined was who she still performs, Alison Krauss Union Station. The group released their debut album in 1989.
